Today while having a discussion with someone I thought was a
man of the Word I suddenly was floored by something he said. He referenced the
letters of Paul the Apostle and said that they “were never intended for us but
were simply letters to the Churches of his day, but we can learn SOME things
from them”. If that is true then in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 where “Paul” wrote that “All
scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for
reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God
may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” needs to be ripped
out of our Bibles and thrown away. As Saints and messengers of Jesus we must
always be diligent in what and WHO we allow into our lives and in the case of
Facebook what we allow to be posted on our pages. 2 John 1:9-10 tells us “Whosoever transgresses
and abides not in the doctrine of Christ hath not God. He that abides in the
doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son” so anyone who is
teaching heresy is clearly NOT of God and I do NOT care if that person has been
your Pastor for 40 years because if they are not teaching the Word of God then
it is TIME TO GO and to go NOW! It doesn’t matter how many “scriptural things
they say correct” because one heretical statement ends their entire message. This
does not mean that just because someone is teaching let’s say “once saved
always saved” that they are a heretic because it could be that this is how they
were taught. However, once you share with them what the Word says about OSAS then
they have to adjust their teaching or they will have to answer for teaching it
incorrectly. Real heretics of (T)he (B)east (N)etwork type always hide their
heresies by preaching parts of sermons that are scripturally accurate. For
instance, one of these “female” pastors on TV says that if you want to “go
higher in the things of God then you have to let things go” which fits with
Paul’s teaching of laying aside the sin and weights that so easily beset us.
However, this same “pastor” turns around and preaches that “Jesus was in hell
for three days and that demons jumped all up on him, and that we are little
gods” which is TOTAL HERESY so should this woman be followed? Did she also not
read where Bishops (leaders of the church - pastors) are supposed to be the “husbands”
of one wife? If that is true (and God’s Word is truth) then the only way she
could fulfill this verse would be that she would have to be the “male” head of
a “lesbian” relationship. Since homosexuality is outlawed in the Word then
there is NO WAY she can scripturally be a pastor PERIOD! So why does a little
heresy matter? In Galatians 5:9 Paul writes “A
little leaven leaveneth the whole lump”, and if you read the previous verses Paul
was talking about standing in the liberty of Christ, not being entangled again
in the yoke of bondage, circumcision, and the law. He then says in verses 7-8 “Ye
did run well so who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? Know that
this persuasion cometh not of him that called you”. So anyone who does not
preach the whole truth is actually just leading their congregations back into
bondage because their teaching is clearly not from Christ because it contains
false teaching.
Finally, we are warned in 2 John 1:9-10
that “If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine receive him not
into your house, neither bid him God speed for he that bids him God speed is
partaker of his evil deeds”. This means that anyone who receives a false
teacher (or anyone else who brings another Gospel) into their house whether in
person, on the internet, or on their TV set becomes a partaker in that persons
SIN and this includes allowing them to post their false teachings on your social
media pages. This does not mean that we do not try and show them the truth, but
what it does mean that if they continue in their false teachings that we are to
no longer allow them access to our lives.
I know this is a hard teaching, but are we
going to be doers of the Word or hearers only thus deceiving ourselves?
