Bless the Lord Oh My Soul

Bless the Lord Oh My Soul

Example #1
The Real Church
Psalm 103:1
“Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me bless His holy name”

Example #2
The Deceived Church
“Bless me Lord and give me more stuff… Give me all the things I want (sugar daddy) and then I will bless your holy name”

While some will thing example #2 is extreme, it is in reality exactly how the modern day American church is living because they have been swayed by the false teachers on the false christian stations. These wolves have been teaching since the 1970’s that God wants believers to have it all now, that believers are “GODS”, and some of them are so extreme that they are telling people that if anyone tells you to deny yourself that they are from satan completely refuting Luke 9:23 “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me”. Of course when you point this out people following these liars will have only one reply “judge not”, which of course is taken out of context and they never have any scripture to back them up just the parroting opinions of the false teachers. So now we must ask, Does God want us to have things because the Word of God does say we are “Abrahams” seed and we should get his blessings? Absolutely! BUT the real question is why does God bless his children?

We read in genesis 12:1-2 this “Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and make thy name great and thou shall be a blessing” so Abram was not blessed so he could HEAP the things of the world upon himself, but he was blessed so he could BE a blessing and this is what the apostate word of faith preachers do not preach. I heard one screaming at the type of her lungs “Here I am Lord, Bless me, BLESS ME”! You cannot get more disgusting than that, and to her God is nothing but a sugar daddy that has to bow to some formula the word of faith liars created based on ripped our verses from different parts of the Word of God. However, know this … They created it for one reason and was to steal God’s money from YOU! I know for many this is a bitter pill to swallow because I used to follow the teaching of these wolves too, but if we are going to call ourselves Disciples of Christ then we need to follow the Word of God as it is written and not as we want it TO be written.  So now that we know we are blessed to be blessed let’s go a little deep into how the people who claim to be christians in America are living.

The American christian is all about the attainment of STUFF, and even though many say they aren’t they are constantly in the in the mode of buy, buy, buy and they cannot seem to stop buying. The world has a term for this and it’s called “hoarding”, but the Word of God has a term it too and it’s called “idolatry”. The continual act of buying is actually a mental and spiritual disorder and God does not want his children to be trapped in this disorder of hoarding or idolatry. Now I am not saying God does not want us to get the things we need, but once again the false word of faith teachers have perverted the Word. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33) is one of the most perverted word of faith verses because the false teachers say “see, seek him and he will give you all things”. However, in context (oh the deceived and false teachers hate that word) it is talking about only three things… Food… Water… Clothing… AND NOTHING MORE! If we have more than that, why do we have it? TO BLESS OTHERS!!! Are your spiritual eyes starting to wake from their slumber? Once again, I used to buy into this “God wants us to have healthy and wealthy lives” and he does, but NOT in the way they teach it which is to heap THINGS onto ourselves! Yes God wants us to be healthy, Jesus paid for it on the cross but they have so PERVERTED this and ripped verses from here and from there and unless you know the Word of God you will buy right into it hook… line… and now you and SUNK! BUT PRAISE GOD he so willing to forgive us! So why does God bless us again? TO BLESS OTHERS!

Do we have a house? If so, it is not our house and more than likely he gave it to us to help others who are homeless or need help…

Do we have a car? If so, then it could be for a ministry he has called us to do or so that we can help others get around.

Do we have more cars than we need? WHY? So we can show them off? No, so we can bless our brethren who have no car.

Do we have money? If so then is to help others and not to hide away in our bank. Many Christians are hurting and while they hurt, the rich of the church walk on by and say “God will help you” but NOT ME!

Once again this is strong, but it is a fact this attitude has taken over most of the Churches in America for the americanized version of christianity has gone from selflessness to selfishness and if you are a person who has an abundance of things I would advise that you pray to God and ask him what HE wants you to do with it. While many will say they do not live like this; their life shows a different story…

Mark 10:17-25
“And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why do you call me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. Thou knows the commandments, do not commit adultery, do not kill, do not steal, do not bear false witness, defraud not, and honor thy father and mother.  And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lacks: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shall have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions. And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly they that have riches shall enter into the kingdom of God! And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answers again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God”.

No it is not wrong to have material blessings…

It is wrong when we heap them upon ourselves and do not bless others, and this does not mean bless people with the things we no longer want or don’t like…

Psalm 103:1-6
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgives all thine iniquities; who heals all thy diseases; who redeems thy life from destruction; who crowns thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; who satisfies thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. The Lord executes righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed”

If you read the rest of Psalm 103 there is not one mention of material things…

God Bless…
