How To Know A False Teacher

Can We Know Who False Teachers Are?

YES and IT’S EASY!!!!

People think it’s hard to know which ministers are true and which ministers are false, but God gave us His Word so we would know the difference. Today I will share the two main ways that we can know who ministers of God are and who the ministers of satan are.

#1 Ministers of Satan Always Point To Themselves

When we read about Jesus we have to understand he ALWAYS pointed to whom? The FATHER! Jesus never took credit for what he but instead he always pointed to His father.

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do: for what things so ever he does, these also doeth the Son likewise” (John5:19)

“I can of my own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father who has sent me” (John 5:30)

In addition, Jesus, Peter, or any other disciples ever named their “ministry” after themselves.

“For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are CONTENTIONS among you.  Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?” (1 Corinthians 1:11-13)

I guess they didn’t get the message so Paul has to break it down…

“For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not CARNAL? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that plants anything, neither he that waters; but God that gives the increase” (1 Corinthians 3:4-7)

If anyone is following after a man the Word of God says they are carnal. Also, ministries who are naming their ministry after themselves are doing what the world does to draw people in which is called “branding”. Companies (false ministers) use branding so that people will want to come to them and not to other companies (other ministries) and they always use the cutest jingles and catch phrases to draw in people. Sadly, the only people they can draw in are believers who have no discernment, people who want what they have (idolaters) or people that have never been truly born again. Either way we should never follow anyone who names their ministry after themselves!

#2 Ministers of Satan Always Want Your Money

Have you ever noticed that these “ministers” always close with “send me your money” and that they never say send it to someone else? No, there is no issue with monetary blessings BUT GOD never blesses us so we can pad our bank accounts or hide it away in secret accounts because Jesus said “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal” (Matthew 7:19)

“And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine” (Mark 11:15-18)

These merchants were IN the House of God selling things that the people needed to atone for their sin and this is EXACTLY what is going on today. False teachers are constantly spitting out books and if you actually read them they are as shallow as you can get. They do NOT point to Almighty God but they point to a “sugar daddy god” that wants you to HAVE IT ALL NOW! They twist verses or rip them out of context and then paste them with other verses to back up their point and churchies who apparently do not have an ounce of discernment have no idea they are being set up for the kill… that is to take their money! Does the Bible talk about these people? You Bet!

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction and MANY shall follow their pernicious (wicked) ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned (clay or waxed) words make merchandise of you (to use a person for gain): whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not (2 Peter 2:1-3)

You see it now? These false ministers have made hundreds of millions of dollars by deceiving the people who say they are born again into buying their “stuff”. Paul goes on to say in 2 Corinthians 2:17 “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak". The word "corrupt" here is the Greek word "kapeleuo" which means "to be a retailer, to peddle, to make money by selling anything, to trade in the word of God, and to try to get base gain by teaching divine truth". In other words, selling ones "word from the Lord" is corrupting the Word of God! Back in the Bible days (and even today) peddlers made a habit of adulterating their commodities for the sake of gain (in this case these preachers cannot make money if they tell people to repent and stop sinning now can they!). This means that people who charge for their books, music events, musical CD’s, meetings, or anything else related to God or the ministry that God has given them is corrupting the Word of God.

Jesus said this “And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat” (Matthew 10:7-10).

There are two VERY important principles listed in this passage. First, Jesus said to FREELY give because you have FREELY received. This is one verse that you will never hear false teachers mention because they are not FREELY giving anything. God never said to go write books or build churches he said to go and preach. It was also SATAN who sold the church the lie that you need to be stationary and sit in some building year after year or go into the world and make money but it was NOT GOD who commanded that but THE DEVIL! How do I know this? Because the second part of this verse reads like this “Provide NEITHER gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses, nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat” which means that HE (God through his church) will take care of his Ministers. If you want to you can read how GOD set the church up in Acts 2:42-47 and there is NO PLACE where this model for the church was ever rescinded by God.

If you learn these two very simple signs then you can write off 99% of the false ministers who are on all those phony TV stations. It breaks my heart to know that so many people will end up in hell because they allowed themselves to be deceived by these people but they will have no excuse because the principles of God are clearly laid out in the Word of God. I pray everyone begins to wake up for the matrix that these false ministers have woven and repent because there is still time to do that, but the time is getting shorter by the day…

In His Service
