The New Church
It
started in the 1970’s. People like K. Hagin and others began to preach a gospel
never heard of before in the church, but where did this doctrine come from?
These
men began to preach that God wanted his people to be rich and that they should
never be sick. This Word of Faith (WOF from now on) began to take over the
church and many have no clue what the WOF teaching was based on.
The
WOF teaching came from what is known as the “New Thought” movement that was
developed by Phineas Quimby who was an american spiritual teacher (not in the
christian sense), magnetizer, mesmerist, and inventor. The New Thought teaching
holds that infinite intelligence or God is everywhere, spirit is the totality
of real things, true human selfhood is divine, divine thought is a force for
good, sickness originates in the mind, and "right thinking" has
a healing effect. New Thought is neither monolithic nor doctrinaire
in general and modern day adherents of New Thought share some core beliefs:
1.
God or Infinite Intelligence is
"supreme, universal, and everlasting";
2.
Divinity dwells within each
person, that all people are spiritual beings;
3.
"The highest spiritual
principle [is] loving one another unconditionally... and teaching and healing
one another"
4.
"Our mental states are carried
forward into manifestation and become our experience in daily living”
While this all sounds great you must
understand that is based on:
Evolution of Thought: Adherents also
generally believe that as humankind gains greater understanding of the world,
New Thought itself will evolve to assimilate new knowledge and Alan Anderson
and Deb Whitehouse described New Thought as a "process" in which each
individual and even the New Thought Movement itself is "new every
moment".
Theological Inclusionism: The Home
of Truth has from its inception as the Pacific Coast Metaphysical Bureau in the
1880s under the leadership of Annie Rix Militz, disseminated the teachings
of the Hindu teacher Swami Vivekananda. It is one of the more
outspokenly interfaith of New Thought organizations, stating adherence to
"the principle that Truth is Truth where ever it is found and whoever is
sharing it"
Therapeutic Ideas: Divine Science, Unity Church, and the
New Thought movement originated in the early 19th century, and survives to the
current day in the form of a loosely allied group of religious
denominations, authors, philosophers, and people who share a set of
beliefs concerning metaphysics, positive thinking, the law of
attraction, healing, life force, creative visualization,
and personal power and the teachings of Christian Science are in
some ways similar to Quimby's teachings. Its founder, Mary Baker Eddy, was
a student and patient of Quimby's but she later disavowed his influence on her
Christian Science.
What is sad is that many of the “Christians”
who bought this new age teaching called “New Thought” into the church and
taught people that they could speak away their sicknesses (and speak things
into being) actually died of horrible diseases (Oral Roberts, Jan & Paul
Crouch, Kenneth Hagin, Kathyrn Kuhlman, and others). Also, this never would
have gotten to the church if it had not been for a man named E.W. Kenyon
because he learned this false teaching from Quimby, christianized it and then
passed it on to Kenneth Hagin.
Even the great christian author and
pastor Norman Vincent Peale who wrote the book “The Power of Positive Thinking”
was actually a freemason (which is a satanic organization), did you know that?
If not it is okay because most people who claim to know Jesus in America did
not know that either. So I have to ask this question, whatever happened to
testing the spirits?
So what affect did this false
satanic teaching have on the church?
Well 40 years later…
We have prophets on the internet who
give out a DAILY prophesy, and if you donate to them they will send you a DAILY
PERSONAL prophesy to your email.
THIS IS NOT OF GOD BUT OF THE DEVIL!!!
We have Christian TAROT cards in the
church called “Destiny Cards”
THIS IS NOT OF GOD BUT OF THE DEVIL!!!
We have Christians practicing YOGA
in the church
THIS IS NOT OF GOD BUT OF THE DEVIL!!!
We now have “Christian” ghost
hunters… These “christian” ghost hunters pray GOD protects them from the ghosts
before every show… No, they do not call them demons (which they are) but ghosts.
You see, ghosts are not real because when we die we are either with the Lord or
in hell awaiting judgment and finally these guys language is constantly getting
censored… hmm… That’s a great testimony…
THIS IS NOT OF GOD BUT OF THE DEVIL!!!
It is passed time for the real
church to come out of these false doctrine teaching manmade temples to their
version of Jesus and be what God called us to be.
1 Peter 2:9-12 “But
ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar
people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvelous light; which in time past were not a people,
but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have
obtained mercy. Dearly beloved, I beseech you as STRANGERS AND PILGRIMS
abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; Having your
conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as
evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in
the day of visitation”
