JFK's Last Undelivered Speech

I am honored to have this invitation to address the annual meeting of the Dallas Citizens Council, joined by the members of the Dallas Assembly — and pleased to have this opportunity to salute the Graduate Research Center of the Southwest. It is fitting that these two symbols of Dallas progress are united in the sponsorship of this meeting. For they represent the best qualities, I am told, of leadership and learning in this city — and leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. The advancement of learning depends on community leadership for financial political support, and the products of that learning, in turn, are essential to the leadership’s hopes for continued progress and prosperity. It is not a coincidence that those communities possessing the best in research and graduate facilities — from MIT to Cal Tech — tend to attract new and growing industries. I congratulate those of you here in Dallas who have recognized these basic facts through the creation of the unique...

The New Church

It started in the 1970’s. People like K. Hagin and others began to preach a gospel never heard of before in the church, but where did this doctrine come from? These men began to preach that God wanted his people to be rich and that they should never be sick. This Word of Faith (WOF from now on) began to take over the church and many have no clue what the WOF teaching was based on. The WOF teaching came from what is known as the “New Thought” movement that was developed by Phineas Quimby who was an american spiritual teacher (not in the christian sense), magnetizer, mesmerist, and inventor. The New Thought teaching holds that infinite intelligence or God is everywhere, spirit is the totality of real things, true human selfhood is divine, divine thought is a force for good, sickness originates in the mind, and "right thinking" has a healing effect. New Thought is neither monolithic nor doctrinaire in general and modern day adherents of New Thou...

Meaning Of The Word "World"

Time For Some Truth John 15:18-21 “If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said unto you, the servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me” Now the word “world” is VERY interesting because most think it is only talking about sin, but here is what the word means in its entirety. The word world here is the Greek word “kosmos” which means an apt and harmonious arrangement or CONSTITUTION, government, the inhabitants of the earth, the human family, the ungodly multitude (the whole mass of men alienated from God, and therefore hostile to the cause of Christ...

Spiritual Growth

Borrowed Teaching but a must for all of US, Yes for ALL OF US! Most read things like this and think of others but never think about themselves because if they did they would have to get real honest REAL quick... 2 Peter 1:3-8  “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ” Spirit...

Let Us Pick Our Kingdom Today

“ Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath DELIVERED us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son ” Colossians 1:12-13 It is sad that people who claim to know Jesus also have to claim being part of a “country” in order to be “part” of something. I guess being part of the Kingdom of God is not enough for them, but as for me I claim NO COUNTRY in this world as my home. I may live in America, but I am no longer part of America for I am no longer part of this world just as Jesus said in John 17:14-16 “…for they are NOT of the world any more than I am of the world.  My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are NOT of the world, even as I am not of it”. Did you notice that he said twice that his people were NOT of this world? Do you think he was trying to make a point? People who go to Americ...

The Church At Philadelphia

To the Church at Philadelphia History The Church in Philadelphia was the youngest of the seven churches, and the name Philadelphia simply means “brotherly love”. Philadelphia was said to have been founded around 150 BC by the Greek king Attalus II who was known as “Philadelphos” because of the love he had for his brother King Eumenes II who was the king of Lydia. The city was used as an outpost to guard the pass between the Hermus and Meander river valleys which protected Ephesus, Smyrna, and Pergamum. It also had very important roads that ran from Philadelphia to Pergamum, Sardis, and Smyrna which allowed it to become the trade hub of the area. The early language of Philadelphia was Lydian, but by the time of the Apostles it had changed to Greek. Philadelphia became a Roman province when the king of Pergamum bequeathed his kingdom over to Rome in 133 BC. Philadelphia did not have the natural defenses that other cities had so it fell constantly in battle throughout its history, a...
